Line 10 (CPTM)
Line 10 – Turquoise (Linha 10 – Turquesa) is a CPTM commuter rail line in Greater São Paulo, Brazil. It runs from Palmeiras–Barra Funda to Rio Grande da Serra, covering about 35 km with 15 stations in operation and 4 planned.
The line offers express services: Line 10 Express runs between Tamanduateí and Santo André, and Line 10+ runs from Luz to Santo André.
Line 10 is owned by the Government of the State of São Paulo and operated by CPTM. The Roosevelt rail yard serves as the line’s depot.
Rolling stock is mainly composed of CAF Series 8500 and Hyundai Rotem Series 9500 trains. A smaller number of CAF Series 2100 trains are used only on the ABC Express at peak times between Tamanduateí and Santo André, and run in six-car formations. Since 2021, most trains on Line 10 have been from the 8500 and 9500 series, after unification with Line 7-Ruby via the 710 Service.
Technical details: gauge is 1,600 mm (5 ft 3 in), electrification is 3,000 V DC overhead catenary, top speed is about 60 km/h, and the line is at-grade.
