Tammy Wynette singles discography
Tammy Wynette released 65 singles (plus 6 music videos, 3 promotional singles and 2 featured singles) after signing with Epic Records in 1966. Her debut, Apartment No. 9, came out that year. A breakthrough followed with Your Good Girl's Gonna Go Bad (1967), a top country hit. She then scored several No. 1 country singles, including My Elusive Dreams (a duet with David Houston), I Don't Wanna Play House, Take Me to Your World and D-I-V-O-R-C-E.
Stand by Your Man became her biggest solo hit, reaching No. 1 on the country chart and No. 19 on the pop chart. More No. 1s came with Singing My Song, The Ways to Love a Man, He Loves Me All the Way and Kids Say the Darndest Things. In 1976, "'Til I Can Make It on My Own" and You and Me also topped the country chart. She kept delivering top-10s through the late 1970s, including "(Let's Get Together) One Last Time" and "Womanhood."
Starting in 1980, some singles missed the top 10 but still reached the top 20, such as He Was There (When I Needed You) and Crying in the Rain. The 1982 hit Another Chance made the top 10, and her 1985 cover of Sometimes When We Touch also did well. In 1987, two big hits from the Higher Ground album included Your Love. In 1991 she teamed with The KLF on Justified and Ancient, which became an international hit. Her final chart appearance was a 1998 reissue of Stand by Your Man, which peaked at No. 56.
