Tambaram taluk

Tambaram taluk is in Chengalpattu district of Tamil Nadu, India. It is part of the Tambaram Revenue Division, with Tambaram city as its administrative center. The taluk covers 99.08 square kilometers and had a population of 464,297 in 2011, giving a density of about 4,686 people per square kilometer. It used to be part of Kanchipuram district, but after the district was reorganized, it became part of Chengalpattu. The taluk is administered from the Tahsildar’s office in Tambaram.
