Rawimpact
Rawimpact Lifestyle Brand, stylized RAWiMPACT, is an American streetwear and lifestyle brand founded in 2010 by Andre Ricks in Kalamazoo, Michigan. It sells sportswear, hats, skateboards, backpacks, and accessories. The company began by selling snapback hats and crewneck sweatshirts from a flagship Kalamazoo store, whose grand opening featured autograph signing by boxing legend Thomas Hearns.
The brand has earned local recognition and growth over the years: in 2011 it was named New Business of the Year by the Kalamazoo Gazette and Western Herald; in 2012 WMU and the National Pan-Hellenic Council honored it for sponsoring a large campus festival. In 2013 Rawimpact opened a second store in Sterling Heights and expanded its catalogue to include skateboards, backpacks, and accessories; it also sponsored Detroit's Summer-Jamz 16 and the winner of the State Farm College Slam Dunk Championship on ESPN. In 2014 the brand opened a signature basketball gym in Las Vegas for pro workouts, which was later highlighted for its community impact in 2018. In 2019 it hosted a Jr. NBA girls camp with over 200 attendees, and in 2020 donated more than 2,000 face masks and apparel to Detroit during the COVID-19 pandemic.
