Yandel
Yandel is the stage name of Llandel Veguilla Malavé, born January 14, 1977, in Cayey, Puerto Rico. He is a Puerto Rican singer and one half of the reggaeton duo Wisin & Yandel. Before fame, he worked as a barber. He met Wisin in school and they started performing together in 1998. Their first album as a duo, Los Reyes del Nuevo Milenio, came out in 2000. They signed with a major label in 2003 for Mi Vida... My Life, and Pa'l Mundo in 2005 made them widely popular. They started WY Records and created Los Vaqueros. In 2013, after the Líderes tour, the duo went on hiatus, and Yandel continued solo. His solo albums include Quien Contra Mí (2003) and De Líder a Leyenda (2013), which was certified Gold (Latin) by the RIAA in 2014. A solo album, Dangerous, followed in November 2015. He married Edneris Espada Figueroa in July 2004, and they have two sons: Adrián (born January 25, 2001) and Dereck (born May 27, 2004).
