Sulawesi root rat (Gracilimus radix) is a small rodent in the Muridae family. It is the only species in its genus (Gracilimus). Its conservation status is Data Deficient (IUCN 3.1). It is known only from Mamasa Regency on Sulawesi, Indonesia, where it lives on the slopes of Mount Gandangdewata in the Quarles Range, at about 1600 meters elevation. The binomial name Gracilimus radix was described in 2016 by Rowe, Achmadi, and Esselstyn. Its closest relative is the Sulawesi water rat (Waiomys mamasae); both are insectivorous rodents found only on Sulawesi.
