Mala Santa
Mala Santa (Bad Saint) is Becky G’s first studio album. It was released on October 17, 2019, and features Latin pop and reggaeton with Latin hip-hop influences. All the songs are in Spanish, and the album runs 52 minutes and 49 seconds. It was released by Kemosabe, RCA, and Sony Music Latin.
The album includes the singles Mayores (2017), Sin Pijama (2018), Cuando Te Besé (2018), Dollar (2019), and Mala Santa (2019).
Becky G started working on a Spanish-language project after signing with Kemosabe and RCA in 2011. She collaborated with Cody Simpson, Cher Lloyd, and will.i.am, released Becky from the Block, and put out the Play It Again EP in 2013. She released English-language singles like Shower as part of a planned English debut. In 2019 she spoke about releasing two albums, one in English and one in Spanish. On October 8, 2019, she revealed the release date and cover, and pre-orders began on October 11.
Mala Santa debuted at No. 85 on the US Billboard 200 and reached No. 3 on both the Top Latin Albums and Latin Rhythm Albums charts, with about 8,000 copies sold in the first week. The track listing is drawn from Apple Music.
