Submission (2010 film)
Submission (Swedish: Underkastelsen) is a 2010 Swedish documentary directed by Stefan Jarl and narrated by Stellan Skarsgård. The film follows Jarl as he has his blood drawn to show the “chemical burden” in his body, and he convinces actress Eva Röse, who is pregnant, to undergo the same tests. It explores how chemicals and plastics developed since World War II may affect health around the world. The music is by Adam Wiltzie. The movie runs 87 minutes and is in German, English, Danish, and Swedish. It premiered in Sweden in April 2010, with its North American premiere at the Mill Valley Film Festival on October 15, 2010.
