Streptomyces amakusaensis

Streptomyces amakusaensis is a species of bacterium in the Streptomyces genus. It was isolated from soil on Amakusa Island, Japan. This bacterium produces two compounds, tuberin and nagstatin. It was first described in 1963 by Nagatsu and colleagues.
