Stranger Point is the southernmost tip of King George Island in Antarctica’s South Shetland Islands. It was named in 1960 by the United Kingdom Antarctic Place-Names Committee after the sealing ship Stranger, captained by Joseph Adams of Boston, which visited the area in 1820–21 along with the ship O’Cain from Potter Cove.
