Stadyum (İzmir Metro)

Stadyum is an elevated metro station on Izmir’s M1 line in Bornova. It is named after the nearby Izmir Atatürk Stadium and sits above Fatih Avenue and 2783rd Street in the Çınar neighborhood. The station has two side platforms, two tracks, and is accessible. There is no parking or bicycle facility.

Connections are available via ESHOT city buses on İnönü Avenue.

History:
- The site began as Mersinli railway station on the Bornova suburban line, built by the Smyrna Cassaba Railway and opened on 25 October 1866.
- The Turkish State Railways took over in 1934. The line was closed in 1995.
- Izmir Metro construction started in 1995, and the new Stadyum station opened on 22 May 2000 as part of the first metro line from Bornova to Üçyol.
