Washington Irving Graded School

Washington Irving Graded School is a historic one-story school in Adjuntas Pueblo, Adjuntas, Puerto Rico. Built in 1903 and named after writer Washington Irving, the brick and masonry building has four classrooms and a distinctive C shape with a Neoclassical design. The architect was Charles G. Post. It is the oldest school building in Adjuntas and one of the oldest in Puerto Rico, built during the early years of U.S. administration. The school sits near Adjuntas’ main square, at the intersection of Rodulfo González and Martínez de Andino streets. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places on May 26, 2015.
