St. James Street railway station

St. James Street is a London Overground station in Walthamstow, east London. It sits on the Weaver line in the London Borough of Waltham Forest and is in fare zone 3.

The station is about 9.2 km (5 miles 55 chains) from London Liverpool Street and lies between Clapton and Walthamstow Central on the Chingford branch. It has two platforms and is near the St James Street high street along the A1006, making it convenient for shoppers and local visitors.

Trains on the Weaver line serve the station. Typical services run about every 30 minutes throughout the week, including Sundays.

History and access: St. James Street opened in 1870 and was redeveloped after changes to local rail franchises. The station now has a barriered ticket area and is staffed during opening hours.
