Role and powers
- The Speaker is the presiding officer and overall leader of Parliament.

Election and qualifications
- The Speaker is elected from among MPs who have served at least five years, or from non-MPs who have been eligible to stand for at least ten years.
- The candidate must be at least 40 years old.
