South Africa women's cricket team in India in 2024
South Africa women’s cricket team toured India from 16 June to 9 July 2024, playing one Test, three ODIs and three T20Is. India were led by Harmanpreet Kaur and South Africa by Laura Wolvaardt.
Test
- Result: India won the only Test.
- Most runs: Shafali Verma (India) 229; Suné Luus (South Africa) 174.
- Most wickets: Sneh Rana (India) 10; Delmi Tucker (South Africa) 2.
ODI series
- Result: India won 3–0.
- Most runs: Smriti Mandhana (India) 343; Laura Wolvaardt (South Africa) 200.
- Most wickets: Deepti Sharma (India) 6; Ayabonga Khaka (SA) 4; Nonkululeko Mlaba (SA) 4.
- Player of the series: Smriti Mandhana (India).
T20I series
- Result: Series drawn 1–1 (one match not completed).
- Most runs: Smriti Mandhana (India) 100; Tazmin Brits (South Africa) 153.
- Most wickets: Pooja Vastrakar (India) 8; Nadine de Klerk, Ayabonga Khaka, Nonkululeko Mlaba, Chloe Tryon (SA) 1 each.
- Player of the series: Pooja Vastrakar (India).
Context
The tour included a Test, ODIs counted toward the ICC Women’s Championship, and T20Is used for World Cup and Asia Cup preparation. Fixtures were confirmed in May 2024; the Test was added to promote women’s Test cricket. Shabnam Shakil joined India’s squad for all formats on 20 June 2024, and Saika Ishaque was named as a T20I reserve.
