Soren Hanson House
The Soren Hanson House is a Queen Anne–style home at 166 W. Main St. in Hyrum, Utah. Built between 1905 and 1907, it is a two-and-a-half-story structure described as a “castle,” and it was the largest private residence in Hyrum at least until 1980. It was the home of Soren Hanson, a Hyrum native who became a successful businessman and served as mayor in the early 20th century; he was once the largest egg dealer in the Intermountain West. The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on February 11, 1982 (reference number 82004109) and sits on less than one acre.
