SAUP (Société des Amis des Universités de Paris) is a Paris-based non-profit organization recognized as a public utility. It was founded in 1899 to support social and humanitarian causes.

Over the years, its presidents have included notable figures such as Jean-Casimir Perier, Raymond Poincaré (former French presidents), and René Cassin (Nobel Peace Prize winner).

Today, SAUP is led by Jean-Louis Boursin, a professor at the Institut d’Études Politiques de Paris and former president of the Conference of Chief Education Officers. The two vice presidents are Jean Mesnard and Jean-Robert Pitte. According to the statutes, the Rector-Chancellor of the Paris University serves as the first Vice-President.

The association aims to develop French culture around the world. In 1919 it created the Cours de Civilisation Française de la Sorbonne, a school that teaches French language and culture to foreigners.

In 2009, SAUP was transformed into the Foundation Robert de Sorbon, a public-utility foundation.
