Snohomish High School
Snohomish High School (SHS) is a public high school in Snohomish, Washington, in the Snohomish School District. It serves grades 9–12 and has about 1,525 students (2023–24) with roughly 68.7 full-time teachers, for a student‑teacher ratio of about 22 to 1. The colors are white and red, and the teams are the Panthers. The address is 1316 5th Street, Snohomish, WA 98290. The principal is Nate DuChesne.
Snohomish High School opened in 1894. The site started as a courthouse with a small jail underneath. It first opened with the A building. Over the years, the school has been remodeled many times. In the 1980s, the B building was updated and music, science, and vocational spaces were added. To ease crowded conditions, the C building opened in 1999 with ten more classrooms. Later renovations included tearing down the B building, with parts reused in newer facilities.
SHS is in the WESCO 3A division and has won state championships in both boys’ and girls’ sports.
