Skarżysko Kościelne is a village in southern Poland. It is in Skarżysko-Kamienna County, in the Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship, and it is the seat of Gmina Skarżysko Kościelne. The village lies about 3 km north of Skarżysko-Kamienna and 36 km northeast of Kielce, the regional capital. A notable landmark is the Holy Trinity Church, built between 1637 and 1643. In the past, Skarżysko Kościelne was a private church village in Radom County, within the Sandomierz Voivodeship of the Lesser Poland Province. As of 2006, about 2,700 people lived there.
