Sir Alexander George Boyle

Sir Alexander George Boyle, CMG, CBE (6 March 1872 – 19 April 1943), often known in Lagos as A. G. Boyle, was a British colonial administrator in Nigeria. He served as Lieutenant-Governor of the Southern Provinces and acted as governor in mid-1919. He also served as deputy governor under Sir Frederick Lugard. Boyle Street in Lagos Island is named after him. He married Sibyl Blanche Hodgson in 1898 in Teddington; she was the daughter of Rev James Thomas Hodgson. They had five sons.
