Sima Hydroelectric Power Station
Sima Hydroelectric Power Station is an operational hydroelectric plant in Eidfjord Municipality, Vestland, Norway, at the mouth of the Sima River. It has two sections: Lang-Sima (500 MW) and Sy-Sima (620 MW), adding up to a total installed capacity of 1,120 MW. On average, it generates about 2,852 gigawatt-hours of electricity per year. The plant is owned by Statkraft (65%), BKK (26.25%), and Sunnhordland Kraftlag (8.75%), and is operated by Statkraft. It began operating in 1980 and uses four turbines.
