Send Them Off!
Send Them Off! is a song by English indie pop band Bastille. It was released on 30 September 2016 as the second single from their second album, Wild World. The electropop track runs 3 minutes and 20 seconds and was released by Virgin. It was written by Dan Smith, who produced the song with Mark Crew.
The song appeared on the FIFA 17 soundtrack and was later included again in FIFA 23 as part of the Ultimate FIFA Soundtrack.
Critics praised the song’s style and lyrics. Rhian Daly of NME highlighted its hip-hop influences and Shakespearean quotes. Jordan Osbourne of Vendor Culture gave it 7.5/10, liking the production and references to Othello and The Exorcist.
The music video, released the same day as the single, features a young man walking through a long hallway, a ruined church, a hooded driver in a horse-drawn carriage, and a chase ending in a chapel with a horned figure.
