Sigismund-Helmut von Dawans (23 September 1899 – 10 June 1944) was a German general in the Wehrmacht during World War II. He was born in Erfurt, then part of the German Empire, and fought in both world wars. He rose to the rank of Generalmajor and served as chief of staff of Panzergruppe West under General Geyr von Schweppenburg. He received the German Cross in Gold on 26 August 1942. Dawans married Ingeborg Hane on 6 April 1923. He was killed in a Royal Air Force raid on La Caine, the Panzergruppe West headquarters, in Occupied France on 10 June 1944. He is buried at the La Cambe German war cemetery.
