- This was Swansea’s first season back in the top flight since 1983.
- They were promoted after finishing third in the Championship in 2010–11 and beating Reading 4–2 in the play-off final.
- Swansea became the first Welsh club in the Premier League.
- They finished 11th in the Premier League in 2011–12.
- Safety was secured on 28 April 2012 with a 4–4 draw against Wolverhampton Wanderers; Andrea Orlandi scored the fastest goal of the season in that match.
- The final game was a 1–0 win over Liverpool on 13 May 2012.
- Top scorer: Danny Graham with 12 league goals (14 in all competitions).
- Cup runs: FA Cup reached the 4th round; League Cup reached the 2nd round.
