Official Committee of Equity Security Holders
Official Committee of Equity Security Holders is a group appointed in U.S. bankruptcy cases to represent all shareholders. The committee usually includes the largest equity holders. It works with the court, the debtor, and other parties to protect shareholders’ rights, review the debtor’s finances, and negotiate plans for reorganization or liquidation on behalf of equity holders.
