Shiraiwagawa Dam

Shiraiwagawa Dam is a gravity concrete and fill dam in Toyama Prefecture, Japan. It was built for flood control and water supply. The dam is 50 meters high and 318 meters long. Its reservoir covers about 19 hectares and holds about 2.2 million cubic meters of water. The catchment area is 24 square kilometers. Construction began in 1967, and the dam opened in 1974.
