Shilpakala Padak
Shilpakala Padak is an annual award from Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy (BSA) to honor ten established artists for their contributions to Bangladeshi arts, including theatre, music, dance, instrumental and folk music, film, and other art forms. The BSA is Bangladesh’s main state-supported national cultural center, under the Ministry of Cultural Affairs. The award is presented by the President of Bangladesh at the National Theatre Hall of the Shilpakala Academy. It began in 2013. Winners receive ৳100,000, a certificate, and an uttorio (a traditional scarf).
