Sebastjan Spahiu
Sebastjan Spahiu (born 30 October 1999) is a professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Shkëndija, a club in North Macedonia. Born in Mouscron, Belgium, he represents Albania at international level and made his senior debut for Albania in 2024.
Spahiu began his youth career with Brussels (2007–2013) and Lierse (2013–2017). He started his senior career at Mouscron in Belgium (2017–2020), scoring his first Belgian First Division A goal on 18 May 2018 against OH Leuven. He left Mouscron in January 2020 and joined CD Guijuelo in Spain in August 2020, shortly before being loaned to Izarra for the rest of the season.
In 2022 he moved to Albania to play for Laçi, then spent a spell with FK Egnatia. In August 2024 he signed with Mes Rafsanjan in Iran and made his Persian Gulf Pro League debut on 20 September 2024 in a 0–0 draw with Gol Gohar Sirjan. In 2025 he joined Shkëndija in North Macedonia.
Internationally, Spahiu debuted for Albania’s U21 team on 6 June 2018 against Belarus U21. He received his first senior Albania call-up in September 2024 and came on as a substitute in his first appearance on 10 September 2024 in a Nations League match against Georgia, which ended 1–0 to Georgia. Spahiu was born in Belgium to parents from Shkodër, Albania.
