Paul McMullan (footballer, born 1984)
Paul Alexander McMullan (born 13 March 1984 in Bellshill, Scotland) is a Scottish former professional football midfielder. He started his career with Heart of Midlothian (Hearts), making his first team debut on 16 February 2002 away to Kilmarnock. He played for Hearts in the 2002–03 season when the team finished third in the Scottish Premier League and featured in Edinburgh derby matches, including a 5–1 win at Tynecastle in August 2002.
In December 2003 he went on loan to Queen of the South, and he left Hearts in 2004. He then joined Inverness Caledonian Thistle but did not make a league appearance there. In January 2005 he moved to Raith Rovers. After that he spent eight months in Australia with Sorrento FC before returning to Scotland in January 2006 to play for Hamilton Academical.
McMullan later played for Stranraer and Berwick Rangers, had a spell at junior club Glenafton Athletic, and then rejoined Berwick Rangers from 2009 to 2011. He played for Clyde in 2011, then Elgin City from 2012 to 2014, and East Stirlingshire in 2014–2015. His time at East Stirlingshire was limited by injury, and his contract was cancelled in January 2015. He subsequently retired from professional football.
