A Thousand Days' Promise
A Thousand Days' Promise is a 2011 South Korean romance melodrama about Seo-yeon, a free-spirited woman, and Park Ji-hyung, an architect who is engaged to someone else. When Seo-yeon discovers she has early-onset Alzheimer's disease, Ji-hyung learns the truth and breaks off his engagement to be with her. Despite strong opposition from their families, he marries Seo-yeon and devotes himself to caring for her as her memory fades. They later have a daughter and find moments of happiness together, even though they know a tragic end awaits them. The series, written by Kim Soo-hyun, aired on SBS for 20 episodes from October 17 to December 20, 2011, on Mondays and Tuesdays at 21:55. It also aired in the Philippines on ABS-CBN as "A Promise of a Thousand Days" from May 27 to July 12, 2013.
