Schwollen is a small municipality in the Birkenfeld district of Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. It belongs to the collective municipality of Birkenfeld. The village is known for its mineral springs, and water from these springs is bottled by two companies.

Schwollen lies on the Schwollbach river at the edge of the Schwarzwälder Hochwald, the southwestern part of the Hunsrück. About 63 percent of the area is forest. It borders Leisel to the northeast, Wilzenberg-Hußweiler to the east, Niederhambach to the south, Hattgenstein to the southwest, and Allenbach to the northwest.

Historically, Schwollen belonged to the Hinder County of Sponheim. The municipal council has eight members plus the mayor as chairman. The coat of arms features a fountain in the upper green field and a red-silver checkered lower field, representing the springs, the woods, and the village’s old allegiance to Sponheim. It has been used since 1965.

Key sights and facilities include the nearby Bundesstraße 269 running west of the town; Kronweiler’s railway station on the Nahe Valley Railway is about 9 km away. An outdoor swimming pool has been open since 1937. There is a kindergarten, a bakery, a restaurant, and other businesses, including two mineral water bottlers and a fire company. The Sirona-Weg adventure trail and the Birkenfeld hiking circuit pass through Schwollen.
