Nathan Dyer

Nathan Dyer is a retired English footballer who played mainly as a winger, spending most of his career at Swansea City. Born on 29 November 1987 in Trowbridge, Wiltshire, he began his career with Southampton and made his first-team debut in 2005. He had loan spells at Burnley and Sheffield United before joining Swansea on loan in 2009 and then permanently later that year.

Dyer helped Swansea win promotion to the Premier League in 2011, making them the first Welsh club to play in the top flight. He continued to shine in the 2011–12 season and was part of the Swansea side that won their first major trophy, the 2013 League Cup, scoring in the final and earning Man of the Match. He signed a four-year contract with Swansea in 2013.

In 2015–16, Dyer spent a season on loan at Leicester City, who went on to win the Premier League that year. Dyer retired from professional football on 30 July 2021. He earlier represented England at the U19 level.
