Sceloenopla carinata
Sceloenopla carinata is a species of leaf beetle in the family Chrysomelidae. It is found in Brazil (Amazonas, Bahia, Goiás) and French Guiana. Adults are narrow, elongated, and slightly flattened. The wing covers (elytra) are yellow-brown on top and have a single ridge. The head and body have distinctive black markings: the vertex, antennae, eyes, the sides of the thorax, two large black patches on the center of the elytra that meet at the base, a black patch at the apex, and a large tripartite black patch on the front half of the elytra. Host plants are palms (Arecaceae).
