Saw Beza
Saw Beza (Burmese: စောဘေဇာ; pronounced [sɔ́ bèzà]) was a queen consort of Ava, married to King Swa Saw Ke. She was born Mi Beza, a commoner from Gazun-Neint near Mohnyin in present-day Kachin State, in the 1350s. Swa Saw Ke met her during a 1372–73 campaign to Mohnyin and took her as a concubine. After the campaign, he told her to come to Ava if she bore him a son. She gave birth to a son on 13 October 1373, who would become King Minkhaung I, and then moved to Ava. The king, keeping his promise, raised her to queen. They had two more children: Theiddat, who would become Governor of Sagaing, and Thupaba Dewi, who would become Queen of Hanthawaddy Pegu. Saw Beza served as Queen Consort from October 1373 until April 1400.
