Standard Deluxe
Standard Deluxe is a small design studio, silkscreen print shop, and gallery in Waverly, Alabama. It was founded in 2005 by Scott Peek, Ed Siegfried, and Greg Siegfried and is owned by Scott Peek. The team creates screen-printed T-shirts, posters, and other printed materials for bands, music events, and cultural activities. They also make hand-printed wedding invitations, handbills, signage, and archival serigraph prints. Standard Deluxe runs the Waverly Boogie, a spring and fall festival (the Old 280 Boogie) held on the studio grounds. The festival began after highway plans once threatened to erase Waverly, and in 2001 residents started the event to celebrate saving the town. It has featured artists such as Jason Isbell and The Civil Wars and includes local art and food vendors. In 2014, they added the Heart of Waverly Bluegrass Festival. The company operates from one location in Waverly with a small team of about three employees.
