Rolf-Dieter Müller
Rolf-Dieter Müller (born 9 December 1948) is a German historian and political scientist who specializes in military history and modern European history. Since 1999 he has been the Scientific Director of the German Armed Forces Military History Research Office, and he has also served as a professor of military history at Humboldt University.
Müller is known for co-authoring the influential work Germany and the Second World War and for writing Hitler's War in the East 1941–1945. Together with journalist Rudibert Kunz, he was among the first historians to document the use of chemical weapons in the Rif War in Giftgas Gegen Abd El Krim: Deutschland, Spanien und der Gaskrieg in Spanisch-Marokko, 1922–1927 (1990).
