Saudi Arabia Royal Cup
Saudi Arabia Royal Cup (Japanese: サウジアラビアロイヤルカップ) is a Grade 3 Japanese horse race for two-year-olds. It is run at Tokyo Racecourse in October over 1,600 metres on turf, on a left-handed track. Weight is 56 kg, with fillies receiving a 2 kg allowance.
The total purse is 70,880,000 yen (as of 2025): 1st gets 33,000,000 yen, 2nd 13,000,000 yen, and 3rd 8,000,000 yen.
History: The race began in 1988 as Ichō Stakes, an open-class race. In 2014 it became an unrated graded stakes race while keeping its name. In 2015 it adopted its current name, and in 2016 it was promoted to Grade 3 status.
The 2023 winner was Gonbade Qabus.
