Saud Kariri
Saud Ali Kariri, born 8 July 1980 in Jizan, Saudi Arabia, is a former Saudi footballer who played as a defensive midfielder. He is 1.84 meters tall. His club career included time with Al-Qadsiah (youth 1995–2000), Al-Qadisiyah (2000–2003), Al-Ittihad (2003–2013), Al-Hilal (2013–2016), and Al-Shabab (2016–2018). In 2013 he moved from Al-Ittihad to Al-Hilal for 21 million Saudi Riyals, scored his first goal for Al-Hilal in 2015, and left the club in 2016 to join Al-Shabab.
Internationally, Kariri earned 133 caps for Saudi Arabia and scored seven goals between 2001 and 2015, and he played in the 2006 FIFA World Cup. He retired from international football in 2015 and is a member of the FIFA Century Club.
His honours include two Saudi Professional League titles and two AFC Champions League titles with Al-Ittihad, plus domestic cups with Al-Hilal. With the Saudi national team, he was a runner-up at the 2007 AFC Asian Cup and won the 2002 Arab Nations Cup.
After retiring, Kariri became Director of Football at Al Hilal.
