Sara Griffin, later known as Sara Webster, is a former top softball player, coach, and college compliance administrator. She was born on February 19, 1976, in Simi Valley, California.

She starred at Simi Valley High School, earning CIF Player of the Year and California Player of the Year honors in 1993. Griffin played at the University of Michigan from 1995 to 1998 as a pitcher/utility player. She finished with a 106-19 record, becoming a Michigan and Big Ten leader in wins at the time. She pitched a perfect game against Oklahoma on March 8, 1996. In 1998 she went 17-0 with a 1.09 ERA and 88 strikeouts; her overall 1998 season was 35-3.

Griffin was a three-time first-team NFCA All-American (1995, 1996, 1998). She won the Big Ten Softball Player of the Year in 1995 and 1996, and the Pitcher of the Year in 1998. She was the Suzy Favor Big Ten Female Athlete of the Year in 1998 and Michigan Female Athlete of the Year in 1996 and 1998. She set Michigan and Big Ten records for career wins, and Michigan records for RBIs (184) and doubles (58). Her .384 career batting average ranks among the top in Michigan history. She was inducted into the University of Michigan Athletic Hall of Honor in 2011.

After college, Griffin coached at Arizona State (1999), Utah (2000), and Loyola Marymount (2009–2011). She worked in athletic compliance, serving as USC Director of Compliance (2002–2008) and then Loyola Marymount Associate AD for Compliance (2008–2013). She currently works as a private softball instructor in the Columbus, Ohio area.
