Sapphirinidae
Sapphirinidae is a family of parasitic copepods, tiny crustaceans in the order Cyclopoida. Males are bright and colorful, while females are transparent. This difference helps males attract females to mate. The family includes several genera, such as Sapphirina. A notable species is Sapphirina darwinii.
