Sangluan
Sangluan, or "Mourning and Chaos Poetry" (traditional Chinese: 喪亂; simplified Chinese: 丧乱; pinyin: sāngluàn), is a genre of Classical Chinese poetry linked to the Yuan Dynasty (1271–1368) in China. It grew out of the chaotic events surrounding the Yuan's rise under Kublai Khan and the Mongol Empire. The poems emphasize the devastation of war, death, and destruction during that period. Scholars such as J. I. Crump note that poets like Yuan Haowen practiced this style.
