San Juan Bajo (Seville Metro)
San Juan Bajo is a Seville Metro station on Line 1, located in the Barrio Bajo district of San Juan de Aznalfarache, Andalusia, Spain. It sits under the Sacred Heart Monument and is the first (or last) station in the municipality. The station is built on a viaduct over the Guadalquivir River and has two side platforms that are 65 meters long, with platform screen doors and two tracks. It is elevated about 7 meters above the ground.
Access is through a single entrance with stairs (including escalators) and elevators, and there is nearby parking. A panoramic elevator connects the station to the Aljarafe escarpment and the Sacred Heart Monastery. San Juan Bajo is one of the few elevated stations on Line 1, sharing its design with Pablo de Olavide and Condequinto stations. Bus connections include M-101, M-140, M-141, M-150, M-151, M-152, M-153, M-154A, M-154B, and M-155. The station opened on 2 April 2009 and is accessible for people with mobility impairments.
