Sampson Flat
Sampson Flat is a small locality in the City of Playford, northeast of Adelaide, South Australia. It sits about 30 km from the city centre, 12 km northeast of Golden Grove, and 4 km southeast of One Tree Hill. It used to be called Sampson’s Flat and drains west into the Little Para Reservoir. The landscape is a mix of open pasture with scattered trees, with denser scrub on the higher eastern side. It may be named after John H. Sampson, who arrived in South Australia in 1849 and lived at One Tree Hill.
