Rugal (TV series)
Rugal is a 2020 South Korean action and science-fiction TV series based on the webtoon of the same name by Rel.mae. It stars Choi Jin-hyuk, Park Sung-woong, Jo Dong-hyuk, Jung Hye-in, Kim Min-sang, Han Ji-wan, and Park Sun-ho. The show aired on OCN in Korea and on Netflix worldwide from March 28 to May 17, 2020. The story follows Kang Gi-beom, an elite police officer who fights against the powerful crime organization Argos. After Argos retaliates by killing his wife, Kang is blinded and framed for murder. He is recruited by the National Intelligence Service to join a special task force called “Rugal,” whose members have biotechnology giving them superhuman abilities. Kang is fitted with two artificial eyeballs to regain his sight and enhance his powers, and he sets out to clear his name and take down Argos. The series comprises 16 episodes, each running about 60 to 76 minutes.
