Duke Manufacturing Co. is a private company in St. Louis, Missouri that designs and makes commercial foodservice equipment for major restaurant chains, schools, and other institutions. Founded in 1925 by Marsh P. Duke, it now has two Missouri factories (St. Louis and Sedalia) and distribution and service centers in Exeter, Prague, and Shanghai, with about 600 employees.

Duke’s products are used in quick-service and full-service restaurants, convenience stores, colleges, schools, hospitals, hotels, and corrections facilities. During World War II, the company built galley equipment for Landing Ship, Tanks and earned the Army-Navy E Award for excellence in war production.

In the late 1990s, Duke began research and development partnerships with large restaurant chains, leading to energy-efficient serving and cooking equipment. The company has expanded internationally and now serves more than 100 countries. In November 2010, Duke acquired SteelKor, another St. Louis-based foodservice equipment maker. Duke and SteelKor offer buffet serving systems, food holding equipment, ovens, broilers, and stainless steel fabrication; SteelKor products include the X-Green Produce Safety System and X-Clean and X-Stream dishwashers.

Duke is ISO 14001 certified for environmentally friendly manufacturing and won the Energy Champion Award from the U.S. Department of Energy in 2009. It is a member of the North American Association of Food Equipment Manufacturers (NAFEM).
