Roos de Jong

Roos de Jong is a Dutch rower from Haarlem, born on August 23, 1993. She competes in double sculls and rows for the Dutch club DSR Proteus-Eretes.

At the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, she won a bronze medal in the women's double sculls with her partner Lisa Scheenaard, a teammate she has rowed with since 2017.

De Jong has earned several medals at World and European championships. Her World Championship medals include a bronze in 2019, a silver in 2022, and a gold in 2025 in the women’s double sculls. She has also won medals at European Championships across the years.

Off the water, De Jong helped design the Dutch national team’s rowing unisuit for the Tokyo 2020 Games, working with designer Bjorn van den Ende. She also faced a period of isolation in 2021 after a COVID-19 case within the team.
