Ronnie Harris (American football)
Ronnie Harris (born June 4, 1970) is a former American football wide receiver who played in the NFL for seven seasons. He spent time with the New England Patriots (1993–1994), Seattle Seahawks (1994–1998), and Atlanta Falcons (1998–1999). He played college football for the Oregon Ducks.
Harris attended Valley Christian High School in Granada Hills, California, and went on to play at the University of Oregon. He went undrafted in 1993 but began his NFL career with the Patriots and later joined the Seahawks and Falcons. In his NFL career, he had 18 receptions for 296 yards and also returned 1,280 yards on returns.
Although mainly known for his work on special teams, Harris made a crucial 29-yard catch in the Falcons’ upset win in the 1999 NFC Championship over the Minnesota Vikings.
After football, Harris worked for Pfizer in primary care, cardiovascular, and pain management. He earned a Master of Arts in Ministry and Leadership from Western Seminary in Portland, Oregon, and has served as a youth pastor, associate pastor, and campus pastor. He is the Lead Pastor at Edgewood Church in Edmonds, Washington.
In college, Harris also ran track for the Ducks, posting a 50-meter indoor time of 5.7 seconds and anchoring the men’s 4x100 meter relay to a school record of 39.80 seconds in 1992.
