Robert N. Cavarra (February 23, 1934 – February 8, 2008) was an American composer, organist, harpsichordist, pianist, and musicologist. He taught at Colorado State University from 1963 to 2000. Born in Denver, Colorado, he studied at the University of Colorado Boulder. Cavarra was known for helping revive the classical organ tradition in North America, according to the Denver Post. He was married to Barbara Cavarra and had three sons—Robert Christopher Cavarra, Stephan Gian Cavarra, and Matthew Nicholas Cavarra—and a daughter, Karla Marie Cavarra Britton. He died in Denver, Colorado, at age 73.
