Riec-sur-Bélon, known in Breton as Rieg, is a commune in the Finistère department of Brittany in north-western France. It belongs to the Quimper arrondissement, the Moëlan-sur-Mer canton, and the Quimperlé Communauté intercommunalité. The area covers 154.64 km2, with elevations from 0 to 94 meters. As of 2023, about 4,376 people live there, and the residents are called Riécois. The mayor for 2020–2026 is Sébastien Miossec. Since December 16, 2008, the town has supported a Breton language plan called Ya d'ar brezhoneg to promote the language.
