Rhododendron goodenoughii is a rhododendron from Papua New Guinea, especially Goodenough Island. It grows at elevations of 800–1,500 meters (2,600–4,900 feet). The plant is a shrub or small tree that reaches up to about 2 meters tall. Its leaves are broadly elliptic and about 10 by 6 cm. The flowers are trumpet-shaped, white, and fragrant. The species does not tolerate freezing temperatures, so in temperate climates it needs protection.
